War is when two or more enemies--nations, countries or other large groups-engage in armed conflict, usually with weapons like guns or bombs. Civil war is when two groups within one country are at war. During a war, both soldiers and civilians (people who are not in the military) are typically wounded or killed.
War means a lot of things. Some include:
- Death
- Suffering
- Damaged property
- Destroyed lives and hearts
There are a lot more causes of war. Innocent people lose their lives over war just because they happen to live in the country where war is taking place.
At the moment there is a war going on in Iraq. This is between America and Iraq, however England is also involved, which is against many English citizens wishes.
