Dear Tony Blair,
I am a year 9 student at Preston Manor and I am writing to you to request that you take the English troops out of Iraq as there are people dying needlessly when the American troops are there and have the situation as controlled as it will get.
There is a huge problem in Iraq but it has been controlled to a certain point, to the extent where British troops are no longer needed. What you are doing is separating families and unnecessarily scaring families.
Many innocent people in Iraq felt better when the troops weren't in Iraq. Now war is all around them, and there isn't a single Iraqi who hasn't been affected by this invasion.
The troops do not seem to have much control over what is really happening in Iraq, because although they do succeed in a lot of things, there is always news from Iraq of a roadside bombing or people getting killed. The war has made conditions worse for all the people in Iraq, not to mention our British troops who we want safe and sound back here at home. We should pull out before any further damage is caused.
Are the British troops of any real use in Iraq, or are the troops loosing their lives pointlessly with no end result? Conditions have worsened and I request we get out while we still some British troops alive.
Do not make the total number of British deaths the same amount as the American deaths, we do not need to make the same mistakes as them, we are not joined to them at the hip so let go and leave the war in Iraq to them.
Yours Sincerely,
Vijal Morarji (Year 9 student from Preston Manor High School)
